MERIS Full Resolution Level 1B data obtained by EnviSat at 01:35 on 01 November 2009.

The bright reflection of the sun near the north Australia coast is an obvious feature of this November image. The sunglint and scattered cloud make it hard to see features in the dark sea. A stretch based on a relatively cloudfree region reveals that oil is till leaking from the wellhead at 12.23S, 124.54N - now flowing towards the south west. This is the 72nd day of the spill; two days later it was stopped.
